The Lymphatic Decongestive Technician program is 52 quarter credit hours (696 clock hours). The full program is four quarters (12 months) in length; running concurrently. It consists of course material and Student Lab experience in order for the student to become knowledgeable in the administration and application of Lymphatic Decongestive Therapy. Core to the program is a good understanding of Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Terminology, Pathology, Lymphatic Decongestive Therapy theory, equipment, devices, techniques and cautions are also covered in the classroom while the development and refining of tactile skills and abilities are developed in the Student Clinic Lab.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
Students are provided with the training and people skills necessary to work effectively with clients. The tactile skills they develop in Lymphatic Decongestive Therapy prepare them for employment in the Naturopathic, Allopathic or Complementary health care community at the experienced level, having full confidence in their skills.
